CreativeMornings with Cara Tierney (in-person)

Friday, November 26, 2021 - 8:30am to 10:30am

“It’s been 21 months since we shared a space together, and we think it’s about time we changed that”

  • Maxine and Marwan, CM Ottawa Co-Hosts

OAG is excited to announce that on Friday, November 26 CreativeMornings Ottawa will be back in our Alma Duncan Salon for a hybrid in-person and virtual event. Join us from the comfort of your own home or come and see us in person for the month’s theme #cmliminal

Cara Tierney (they/them) will be the speaker for this month’s theme.

Harnessing the transformative potential of art, artist and educator Cara (@tearkneeh) invites us to collaborate with them in building an art installation that actively helps shape the social architecture of public space! (CONTENT WARNING: attending this talk will arouse feelings of queerness).

Proudly trans, Tierney holds a MA in Canadian Art History from Carleton University, an MFA from the University of Ottawa and they are a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute for Comparative Analysis in Literature, Arts and Culture at Carleton University. Their current research investigates the ways in which art can foster nuanced understandings of identity that question and move beyond the limits of language.

This is a talk you don't want to miss… and the OAG will be announcing something BIG to those tuning in on-site and virtually!

Join us in person at the @ottawaartgallery (registration for 50 people) or online on November 26th at 8:30am. Tickets will be released on November 19th at 11 am!
