Jackson at the OAG is a casual yet sophisticated full service café that includes a grab & go counter and a dine-in restaurant. The space provides a warm, inviting and open concept dining experience.
Pressed juices, smoothies, house made muesli with yoghurt, breakfast sandwiches, salads, flat breads, soups, house-baked pastries, desserts, and specialty coffee and teas, Italian sodas and gelato will be available.
Look for limited-edition specialty menus inspired by the exhibitions at the Ottawa Art Gallery.
We are pleased to offer selection of wines by the glass, distinctive seasonal (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) cocktails and local micro-brewed beers. Kids menu available.
CHEF JOHN LEUNG
Chef Leung’s career spans more than 20 years. He began as an apprentice to Chef Kurt Waldele at the National Arts Centre and has gone on to serve at premier dining establishments around the world, including Restaurant el8hteen, the official residence of the British High Commissioner, National Gallery of Canada, Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, Daniel restaurant in New York City, and at Nobu in London, England. His most memorable meals include those he has prepared for President Barack Obama, Bill Gates, Julia Child, and for the Governor General’s Awards. Leung takes inspiration from around the globe and leads an extraordinary team that combines locally sourced ingredients and sustainable seafood to produce tantalizing dishes.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES AND PRACTICES
- Buy from local farmers whenever possible and using quality meat suppliers with ethical practices.
- Purchase sustainable Oceanwise seafood. Vancouver Oceanwise member since 2003.
- Recycle glass and bottles through Bottle Works, which employs youth at risk.
- Purchase and use only biodegradable takeout containers.
