DESCRIPTION:Gouache Wash-off: Subtracting paint with gouache\nJoin us every last Thursday of the month in the Studio to learn observational sketching techniques at Ottawa Art Gallery. \nIn this session participants will start by sketching in the Firestone Gallery. Then we will go to the Studio where we will use our sketches to learn how to wash-off paint on watercolour paper using black India ink and white gouache. This technique renders strikingly beautiful drawings. \nThe workshop will be led by OAG Educator Maria Gomez-Umaña\, a mixed media artist living in Ottawa whose artwork draws from experiences of becoming and belonging in a globalised world. \nArt materials will be provided.
