SUMMARY:Sketchy Thursdays - August 2023
DESCRIPTION:Drawing on the Terrace \nJoin us every last Thursday of the month in the Studio to learn observational sketching techniques at Ottawa Art Gallery. \nIn this session we will sketch from the South Terrace and participants will choose a theme to draw. It could be the city from above\, or the building from below\, or the light and shade under the canopy of the terrace\, or maybe participants will do short poses for each other to draw from. An open-ended drawing session with many possibilities. We will use Conte\, kneadable erasers and paper. \nThe workshop will be led by OAG Educator Maria Gomez-Umaña\, a mixed media artist living in Ottawa whose artwork draws from experiences of becoming and belonging in a globalised world. \nRegistration is required for this event\, see the Eventbrite link below. Art materials will be provided. \nChildren must be accompanied by an adult. \nREGISTER HERE\nFor more information email studio@oaggao.ca or call 613-233-8699 +227. \nSKETCHY THURSDAYS IS A FREE\, ALL-AGES ACTIVITY \nHappy Hour (optional) \nThis summer\, we will also be offering a Happy Hour in the Jackson Café from 5:00pm – 9 pm before and after our Sketchy Thursday program.
