SUMMARY:Music and Art Meditation
DESCRIPTION:This group offers a gentle and creative space where calming music and artmaking come together to support relaxation and self-expression. Each session starts with exploring different music styles through art—such as jazz\, folk\, or funk—followed by a meditative drawing space to help you feel grounded and ready for the day. It’s a peaceful way to connect with yourself and improve your overall well-being—no art experience needed. By blending music with creative expression\, you’ll be gently guided to slow down\, tune into yourself\, and explore your emotions in a comforting and supportive space. Come join and let’s explore music and art together!  \nThis virtual program runs weekly on Zoom for 8 weeks from August 12 to September 30\, Tuesdays 8:00-9:30 AM. Registration for each individual session is available on Eventbrite. The Zoom link will be shared by email after registration. Participants are welcome to use any art materials they’d like – we recommend a pencil\, paper\, and anything colourful that you have on hand (pencil crayons\, markers\, pastels\, watercolour\, etc.). \nLanguage: English \nRegister here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/1501963125139?aff=oddtdtcreator  \n\n1 – Mark-making to Jazz  \n2 – Lyrics to Poetry with Folk Music  \n3 – Funky Foods and Funk Music  \n4 – Music Map with International Music  \n5 – Bilateral Drawing to Electric Music  \n6 – Landscapes to Instrumental Music  \n7 – Album Art and Blues  \n8 – Mandalas to Indigenous Music  \n\nAbout the facilitator: Yuli Chen Sasaki is currently training to become an art therapist at the Canadian International Institute of Art Therapy.
