SUMMARY:Encounter with the Hare in Situ with Jenny McMaster and Kim Kilpatrick
DESCRIPTION:2 PM and 4 PM\, in person on the 4th Floor \nJoin Abound artist Jenny McMaster and blind story-teller Kim Kilpatrick for a sound and touch based tour of Jenny’s Hare in Situ installation. Ideal for non-sighted or low vision participants\, but open to all\, this session will include rich descriptions of the exhibition and a chance to touch the artworks’ materials\, such as handmade paper\, fabric\, and raw hemp fibre. The session will also involve an opportunity to interact with the Listening Hare sculpture which is equipped with a contact microphone which amplifies the sound of touch. \nSafety protocols: Participants will interact with the art objects using gloves and be supplied with a package of the materials intended for their personal use only.
