The Permanent Collection of the Ottawa Art Gallery comprises more than 1,000 works by historical and contemporary Canadian artists with strong ties to the Ottawa-Gatineau region. The collection represents a wide range of artistic practices, including painting, sculpture, photography, and new media. Artists whose work is represented in the collection include Lynne Cohen, Evergon, Kenneth Lochhead, Marie-Jeanne Musiol, Ron Noganosh, and Jeffrey Thomas.

This is a growing collection, and the gallery’s “Class A” designation from the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board enables it to offer tax incentives for eligible donations.
