Join potter Joanna Richardson and learn how to create your own mug inspired by the flora of Ottawa! We’ll use textures foraged from Ottawa’s greenspaces to celebrate the nature in and around the city.
In this workshop, we’ll use slab-building techniques and natural textures to create a functional mug. The piece will be glazed and fired by the instructor post-workshop and available to pick up in two weeks at the OAG shop. All tools and materials will be provided, though students are encouraged to bring textures responsibly foraged from their favourite natural places (ex. shells and stones from the beach, leaves and twigs from their gardens).
This workshop is suitable for beginners with no experience in clay.
