Doodles into Art
Join us every last Thursday of the month in the Studio to learn observational sketching techniques at the Ottawa Art Gallery.
Using continuous lines, we will create an intricate composition that will become a flock of birds, a school of fish, a kaleidoscope of butterflies. We will use colour pencils and soft pastels to give colour to the final contours of the shapes. The end result will look something like a stained-glass composition.
The workshop will be led by OAG Educator Maria Gomez-Umaña, a mixed media artist living in Ottawa whose artwork draws from experiences of becoming and belonging in a globalised world.
Spots are available on a first come first served basis. Art materials will be provided. Please register through Eventbrite.
