Join us in the Studio on October 19th for a special edition of Creative Sundays, presented in partnership with the Embassy of Mexico, The Modern American School of Mexico City and the National Autonomous University of Mexico! Learn about the traditions and celebrations of the Day of the Dead with a sugar skull decorating workshop led by artist Fernando Trigo and his students.
Fernando Trigo is an Architect and art teacher at the Modern American School in Mexico City. For almost 30 years, he has been designing and setting monumental Day of the Dead “ofrendas”. Since 2018, Fernando Trigo has been working in collaboration with Ottawa’s Mexican Embassy, the Modern American School of Mexico City, and the National University of Mexico (UNAM), to share Mexico’s most important traditions with Canadians.
