If you could take a road trip through Canada, what would you love to see? Following a sketching trip to Western Canada in 1956, Toronto artist Alan C. Collier began taking summer trips across the country by car with his family. Continuing this practice over the course of his career, Collier depicted scenes from every province and territory. With broad strokes and pared-down form, his work captures scenes of Canada's diverse geography from coast to coast to coast. Here, Collier paints the rugged cliffs of Newfoundland's Terra Nova National Park.
