CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
(recto) Browns, blues and yellows are the main coloures used to paint this loose depiction of a landscape with industrial buildings along the mid-ground, along the shore of a body of water with several islands in it and low hills on the distant shores. In the foreground is a brown land with rocks and low vegetation. There is a pile of something painted in bright yellow, next to a rectangular blue building in the middle-ground. (verso) Muddled browns and blues, with some yellow-green is used to paint a landscape with rocks and a bare tree in the foreground and buildings in the background with a body of water on the left. The sky is depicted in a wavy layer of blue and grey above that. The prominent building is square, windowless and has a tall pyramid shaped roof.
