CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
[Recto] A loose sketch of a wilderness landscape with a body of water in the foreground that extends toward the middle of the picture. Shrubs and trees are quickly drawn on the banks on either side of the water and there are forested hills across the background. Notations for colour are made in various elements of the drawing.[Verso] A simple sketch depicting two small open boats lying side-by-side on the ground at the centre of the image with a roughly drawn landscape surrounding them. Both boats are lying with their sterns facing the viewer and are tilted to the left side.
