CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A summer landscape sketch depicts bathers drying off in the foreground, a lake in the mid-ground and mountains on the shore in the background. There is a dock on the right side with two figures standing on it, a rock in the centre of the foreground with another figure standing on it, and a grassy patch of land on the left side with a figure standing and a figure seated All of the standing figures are drying themselves with white towels. There are trees and a strip of beach along the lakeshore on the left side of the painting. The sketch is in grey and black with a yellow sky and yellow lake surface.
