A charcoal sketch of a bearded male figure positioned in a semi-reclined position, facing the viewer. He is holding his body up by his arm which is positioned behind him and the legs are bent and turned to the left, extending into the foreground at the bottom of the page. There is a piece of cloth draped over the upper thigh of the leg on the left. The man's gaze is lifted.
