CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A large-scale self-portrait painted in fine detail. The Artist's head is painted in 3/4 profile, facing the left, with his questioning glance focused on the viewer. He has a meticulously painted white/grey beard and a wrinkled bald head. His muted purple crew neck sweater is just in the frame at the bottom right corner and he has a soft green collard shirt under that. A brown backdrop is painted behind him.
