CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
The image depicts large-scale self-portrait of the artist painted in fine detail. The artist's head is painted in 3/4 profile, facing the left, with his questioning glance focused on the viewer. He has a meticulously painted white and grey beard and a bald head with hair at the sides. His muted purple crew neck sweater is just visible in the frame at the bottom right corner and he has a soft green collared shirt under that (clothing). The background is brown.
