Welcome to the OAG Team Lydia!

OAG is pleased to announce the hiring of our new Chief Development Officer! Lydia Blanchard is joining us from her previous role as the Director of Community Engagement for the CHEO Foundation, where she led the Community Engagement team, which was responsible for supporting over three hundred third-party event partners each year. Prior to joining the CHEO Foundation in May 2019, Lydia’s career had been rooted in the Ottawa-area hotel & tourism industry, where she gained over 9 years of in-depth event management and business development experience. Her experience in developing action plans, standard operating procedures, and initiatives in communications, marketing and social media are a valuable asset in achieving ambitious fundraising targets and engagement throughout the community. Lydia always adds a passionate, creative element to an organisation’s culture. She has also been recognised with awards for her work by several industry organisations, including Meeting Professionals International; Connect Association; Smart Meetings; Meetings + Incentive Travel Canada; and Minto Group, in both volunteer and professional capacities.
