Join us every last Thursday of the month to learn observational sketching techniques at Ottawa Art Gallery.
On September 29, we will discuss why sketching from art has been an art practice used by artists of different periods, and what we can gain from it. We will bring a clipboard with dry drawing supplies to sketch from the exhibitions at the Ottawa Art Gallery, taking advantage of the diversity of artwork on display.
The workshop will be lead by OAG Educator Maria Gomez-Umaña, a mixed media artist living in Ottawa whose artwork draws from experiences of becoming and belonging in a globalised world.
Spots are available on a first come first served basis. Art materials will be provided.
