Join us for a FREE youth art drop-in! Open to youth aged 15-25, materials and snacks are provided during the workshop.
This workshop will explain drawing basics, such as how to create subtle characteristics and contrast effects through the use of different techniques using the example of a feather. This workshop will develop your sketching skills and allow you to experiment through the medium of graphite pencils.

Anna Mikhailov is a young Canadian artist who wants to pursue a dream in visual art for the next 70-80 years of her life. Anna taught herself to draw from numerous art books. She strives to be diverse in her artworks and combine multiple techniques into one art project and can control the complexity of her art with which mediums she chooses to use.
In partnership with Capital Pride, the OAG Youth Council is excited to present a free drop-in painting workshop led by Montreal-based artist Kezna Dalz! Join us in person at the OAG on April 16 between 12 and 4 p.m. to create a painted work that depicts what you would like to see in your heart.
Kezna’s work is characterized by raw features and bright colours, and within her multidisciplinary practice she addresses themes such as feminism, the fight against racism, popular culture as well as one’s relationship to sexuality. Her work can be viewed on https://teenadultt.com/

Explore the current and new exhibitions and feel inspired with an oil pastel 3D-Art workshop based on works by Jemimah Lorissaint, Peter Shmelzer and Sharon Vanstarkenburg. This activity encourages participants to create stunning and complex looking oil-pastel works of art with an optional 3D effect.
