Success in the Shade
Join us every last Thursday of the month to learn observational sketching techniques with Ottawa Art Gallery.
Our March Sketchy Thursday will be online and live from Colombia. We will work on a realistic drawing based on a small round object of your choice, such as a fruit, a teapot, or a small sculpture. During this session we focus on the steps to make a nice composition, and you will learn how to shade successfully using different rendering techniques.
The workshop will be led by OAG Educator Maria Gomez-Umaña, a mixed media artist living in Ottawa whose artwork draws from experiences of becoming and belonging in a globalised world.
Materials required at home: white paper, a 6B pencil, and an eraser.
