Gabriel Poliquin has served as a director of the OAG since 2018. The OAG and its community spark him to think outside the box in his work as a lawyer, writer and academic. In his legal career, Gabriel works to ensure that minority Francophone communities across the country are served by the institutions that are necessary to their continued vitality. In the same spirit, Gabriel’s work on the board is motivated by the idea that art institutions breathe life into the communities they inspire. To that end, they must be reflections of the diversity of communities they serve. In their time off, Gabriel and his family enjoy everything the OAG has to offer, from messy art workshops for kids to glamorous art auctions for grown-ups. Together they collect, and sometimes make, local art.
