Katie Lafferty has thirty years of experience as an executive, entrepreneur, and management consultant focused primarily in the health care and health research sectors. Katie has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Heart and Stroke Foundation Canadian Partnership for Stroke Recovery and the Executive Director of the Canadian Stroke Network. Katie and her husband own Watson’s Pharmacy and Compounding Centre, an award-winning business with two locations in central Ottawa. Prior to 2001, Katie was a Principal Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington D.C. and London, England. Over the course of her career, Katie has served on numerous health and research related committees and Boards including The Ottawa Hospital and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (as Chair). In 2010, she was recognized by the Ottawa Business Journal as one of Ottawa’s “Top 40 under 40” for her contributions in the health sector. Katie is a hobby artist, an art enthusiast, and a proud mother of an aspiring animator.
