The Ottawa Art Gallery is proud to honour the remarkable philanthropic, cultural, and mentorship contributions of Bill Staubi through the Bill Staubi Acquisition Fund, dedicated to the purchase of artwork by emerging artists—with a preference for artists from the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community.
Bill Staubi is a pillar of Ottawa’s arts community: a passionate patron, collector, and community-builder who has fostered a culture of creativity and generosity. Countless artists recall Bill as the first person to purchase their work—an act that offered not only financial support, but a deep sense of affirmation, belonging, and encouragement at a critical moment in their careers.
Launched in connection with OAG’s exhibition Grotto, this fund ensures that Bill’s legacy continues for years to come, championing the next generation of artists and expanding OAG’s collection with vital new voices.
