Join us for a presentation on the life and work of local artist Russell Yuristy, led by Ottawa Art Gallery educator, Maria Gomez. Prepare for a fun and quirky conversation as we interrogate his playful practice and history of collaborating with children!

In partnership with Capital Pride, the OAG Youth Council is excited to present a free drop-in painting workshop led by Montreal-based artist Kezna Dalz! Join us in person at the OAG on April 16 between 12 and 4 p.m. to create a painted work that depicts what you would like to see in your heart.
Kezna’s work is characterized by raw features and bright colours, and within her multidisciplinary practice she addresses themes such as feminism, the fight against racism, popular culture as well as one’s relationship to sexuality. Her work can be viewed on https://teenadultt.com/
ALL YOUTH ARE WELCOME, SAFE SPACE.

Explore the current and new exhibitions and feel inspired with an oil pastel 3D-Art workshop based on works by Jemimah Lorissaint, Peter Shmelzer and Sharon Vanstarkenburg. This activity encourages participants to create stunning and complex looking oil-pastel works of art with an optional 3D effect.
