This month:
This Creative Sunday is inspired by Juliane Foronda’s NOTES ON PLAY. As part of this project, Foronda created postcards with excerpts of various board game instructions. Join us on Sunday, October 15th to create a postcard of your own!
During the workshop, artist Juliane Foronda and Chloé Ouellet-Riendeau will join the group for an artist talk at 1pm.
Juliane Foronda received her MA in Fine Arts from Listaháskóli Íslands/Iceland University of the Arts, and her BA in Studio Art from the University of Guelph. Predominantly through object, intervention and text, Foronda’s practice is invested in notions of radical care, feminist hospitality, and traditions of gathering.
Chloé Ouellet-Riendeau is the Assistant Curator of Sport History at the Canadian Museum of History. Chloé has earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in history from l’Université de Sherbrooke, in addition to a certificate in archival studies from l’Université Laval. Facilitating the public’s access to our history continues to be a main goal of hers.
This project is presented as a part of the Ontario Culture Days Festival (Sept. 22 – Oct. 15, 2023), an annual celebration of arts, culture and heritage taking place each fall across the province.
NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED. THIS IS A FREE, ALL-AGES ACTIVITY.
