Writing 101 Workshop
Join us for a FREE youth art drop-in! Open to youth aged 15-25, materials and snacks are provided during the workshop.
Literature, poems, scripts, songs, everything first brews inside your head. And to get started, a writer must find their spark. Writing 101 aims to give young writers resources to trigger their inspiration, overcome writer’s block and start a new project through various methods.
Note: Bring your laptop/device/notebook of choice.

The wearing of masks during this event is not mandatory, but it is encouraged.
Artist Bio: Corinne Viau is a bilingual writer from Gatineau. Working in video description, theatre, and content creation, she wore many hats in the writing and creative industry. Even in her spare time, she keeps writing, focusing more on prose.
In partnership with Capital Pride, the OAG Youth Council is excited to present a free drop-in painting workshop led by Montreal-based artist Kezna Dalz! Join us in person at the OAG on April 16 between 12 and 4 p.m. to create a painted work that depicts what you would like to see in your heart.
Kezna’s work is characterized by raw features and bright colours, and within her multidisciplinary practice she addresses themes such as feminism, the fight against racism, popular culture as well as one’s relationship to sexuality. Her work can be viewed on https://teenadultt.com/

Creative Sundays are back at it again! Join us on Sunday, April 24th for a free family art activity. Explore the current and new exhibitions and feel inspired with an oil pastel 3D-Art workshop based on works by Jemimah Lorissaint, Peter Shmelzer and Sharon Vanstarkenburg. This activity encourages participants to create stunning and complex looking oil-pastel works of art with an optional 3D effect.
