Join us for a full day of engaging activities, hands-on fun, and thoughtful conversation as we celebrate two powerful exhibitions currently on view at the Ottawa Art Gallery: ᓄᐊᒥ ᐃᕐᕈᒥᐊᖅ | Normee Ekoomiak and ᓴᕐᖀᒋᐊᓪᓚᓂᖅ: ᐸᑎᒃᑎᒐᓕᐅᕐᓂᖅ ᓄᓇᕕᒻᒥ (2014-2019) | Revival: Printmaking in Nunavik (2014–2019).
Start the morning with a cozy Story Time featuring readings from books by Normee Ekoomiak in our Spencerville Gallery.
Then, head to the Studio for a drop-in felt collage craft activity—perfect for all ages and inspired by the vibrant materials and themes in Normee Ekoomiak.
Take a closer look at Revival with curator Lyne Bastien during an exhibition tour and hear about printmaking in Nunavik.
In the afternoon, join us for a thought-provoking panel discussion with OAG’s Chief Curator Rebecca Basciano, guest co-curator Taqralik Partridge, and Director of the Art Gallery of Guelph. Together, they’ll explore Normee Ekoomiak’s 90-foot-long artwork The Way It Was.
Taking place from 10 AM – 4 PM, the OAG Shop presents its very first Mini Market: Summer Edition! Located on level 1 just outside the OAG Shop, visitors can discover our specially curated selection of vendors who will be showcasing their unique and handmade goods that highlight the exceptional talent of artists and makers here in Ottawa. Get to know the people behind some of your favourite products and maybe treat yourself to something new!
