Join us on the first Wednesday of the month in the Studio to explore creative play that engages toddlers and their caregivers during Toddler Mornings at Ottawa Art Gallery. Explore a variety of activities that foster creativity and problem-solving skills.
On May 3, join us as we take a trip under the sea! In this month’s Toddler Mornings, participants will create colourful jellyfish windcatchers and add to our collaborative ocean shapes mural! Please dress for mess!
Toddler Mornings are led by OAG Educator Wendy Moir. Wendy is passionate about art education and has taught visual literacy at galleries in Kingston, Halifax, and Ottawa since 2003.
NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Spots are available on a first come first served basis. All materials will be provided.
The program is free and best for children aged 0 to 4 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us in person to learn observational sketching techniques from an educator at the Ottawa Art Gallery.
On October 28, we will draw faces on pumpkins and then sketch them within the public settings of the gallery. Materials will be provided and participants will be able to bring their pumpkins back home with them!
The workshop will be lead by OAG Learning and Engagement Assistant Alexia-Leana Kokozaki, a Canadian-Cypriot artist based in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

Free kits provided. Each kit includes two fine point pens, sticker labels as well as laminating sheets. To get one, simply sign up below by October 22 and drop by the gallery the following week to pick it up!

Creative Sundays are back! Join us on Sunday, October 24th for a free family art activity. Discover the current exhibitions and get creative with a weaving workshop inspired by works from Greta Grip and Peter Owusu-Ansah. This activity encourages participants to bring together color and yarn to make weaved artworks that are dynamic and textured. All materials will be provided.
