Loose brushstrokes in greens, browns, blues depict a landscape with various trees, a grassy foreground and a thin strip of river across the middle ground. There is a large tree on the left in the foreground that extends out of the top of the frame of the picture and has large branches with green foliage hanging over the scene. One tree at the centre of the image has bright golden foliage. The river is painted in a saturated hue of blue and there are trees lining the far shore. A blue sky with white clouds is painted in the background.
