A detailed sketch depicts an office interior with three seated male figures in uniforms and a large sorting machine on a table at the centre of the picture. Two of the men are seated at a table on the left side of the image; one is talking on the phone. The third man is only partially visible: he is sitting behind the machine at the table in the middle of the room. There is a cylindrical furnace on the right.
