An oil painting depicting the up-close rear view of a ewe, with a heavy udder hanging between her legs and her head leaning around to the right. On the right is a lamb leaning under the mother to drink. The ewe and lamb are white with colourful shading in brushstrokes of yellow, green, purple and browns. They are standing in a grassy field painted in green and blue. A dark red sky is pictured in the uppermost portion of the painting.
