A watercolour sketch of a seated man wearing a blue suit jacket and brown pants. His legs are set apart with elbows resting on knees and one hand clasping the wrist of the other. His head, with slicked back black hair, is turned in 3/4 profile. A dark wash is painted in the background, while areas on the man are left white to produce a highly contrasting image.
