CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A painting of a rocky riverbed, with rapids flowing toward the viewer, flanked by trees along the shore and with hills in the distance. The image is very striking, almost entirely in highly contrasted shades of grey, highlighted with white and with occasional use of green, burgundy and pink in the foliage.
