CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A painting of a rural homestead with several wooden buildings set in a grassy landscape with piles of rocks and tilled soil in the foreground. There is a plough in the bottom right of the picture and a carriage beside a shed on the left in the mid-ground. The foremost house on the right has a ladder up the left side and on the roof. There are blue mountains in the background under a blue sky filled with a dramatic, upsweeping mass of white and grey clouds.
