A sketch made on dark brown paper depicts two men working on either side of a horse and cart on the left side of the image and a horse in profile on the right, attached to a sleigh with a large bin on it. The image is sketched in black with a few colour accents: the ground and contents of the bin are white and the bin is faintly coloured red.
