CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
An abstract painting of a gladiator figure, wearing a helmet, painted in a mosaic-like style consisting of small, geometric shapes of colour pieced together with white space around them and black lines between.An exception is the figure's beard, which is a solid brown with rows of black vertical lines in it. The "tiles" are painted in blue, red, black, grey, green and yellow. A blue wash is used to paint the background.
