CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A sculpture of a parabolic mirror framed on a black steel structure, with a small pendulous colourful face swinging in front of the mirror, mounted on a stand attached to the steel structure. This interactive sculpture introduces the devilish character introduced into German folklore by Goethe with mirrors to scale at human-height, the viewer is forced to see him or herself as this evil incarnation. Like the other mirror works, this gives the viewers a different perspective on themselves, and attempt to open the mind and provide such clarity, yet this work zeroes in on the implication. Geuer thus asks us to question ourselves in a more defined way.
