CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A portrait of a man's face and upper body painted with loose, broad brush strokes and heavily shaded. Black ink is used. The man is hunched with his hand curled in front of his chin and his face in 3/4 profile. His whole image is encased within a thick black outline with a rounded top and rounded square bottom. The background is blank outside of this shape.
