CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A portrait of two young boys standing in front of their mother, who is seated behind them. A blond boy is standing on the right side of the painting in the foreground, wearing a white shirt and blue overalls. Behind him is a brown-haired boy in a brown shirt at the centre of the image. The mother fills the frame of the image, wearing a striped yellow, brown, pink and red shirt with billowing white sleeves. She is sitting with her shoulders back and chin tilted up, her arms around her boys in front and the top of her head extending out of the frame at the top of the painting. The wooden frame of the chair is visible behind her with a purple fabric and a green leaf motif. Part of a tree with green leaves and orange fruit is seen on the left. The background is covered in gold leaf.
