A detailed charcoal sketch of a mostly bare branched pine tree. The tree occupies most of the composition, located of center with several branches stretching out from the trunk to the ends of the paper. The background presents roughly sketched foliage. The bark is depicted with darker tones and the ground is loosely sketched.
