A sketch of a man's head and shoulder. The subject is looking away from the viewer, with his head and shoulder turned towards the left side. He has short white hair and a white beard. His face is enlighten while the back of his head stands in the shadow. The subject's head is detailed while his shoulder and clothing are roughly sketched, partly completed. The background is defined by rough vertical pastel lines.
