CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A colour photography presents a series of red medallions with black inscriptions fixed on metal hooks. The objects are called "Eskimo Identification Tag" and were used by the Government of Canada in the 1940-50's for census purposes. Photographed tags read identification numbers, handwritten names and date of birth and present the royal crown along with other text.
