CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A colour photograph presents a red float on a body of water. The float is held by two anchor points and two ropes. The float takes on a traditional hunting float called "avataq". Avataq were made of sealskin and were originally attached to a harpoon. This photograph was taken in the locks near Merrickville.
