This bilingual catalogue was published in conjunction with a major exhibition of the work of important senior Ottawa artist Duncan de Kergommeaux held at the Ottawa Art Gallery in 2011. This catalogue includes an essay by curator Emily Falvey that fluently locates de Kergommeaux’s painting within a broader context, while Andrea Fatona’s interview with the artist extends the visual voice imparted by his work. Also included is an essay by Bernard Bonario, a former friend and colleague of de Kergommeaux, which eloquently provides a background to the artist’s work and environment.
