High Ground

Texts by Sylvie Fortin, Johanna Mizgala, and Jeanne Randolph

High Ground is the culmination of artist Vera Greenwood's intensely personal search into better understanding her childhood and personal history. Published in conjunction with Greenwood’s installation at the Ottawa Art Gallery, this text explores how Greenwood became the curator of her own museum, conducting research and compiling documentation that poignantly illuminates her memories of growing up in a family whose fortunes were affected by the mental illness of her father.
