In 2026, Ottawa turns 200 and the Ottawa Art Gallery is helping lead the celebration through art, community, and creative connection.
200+ Culture to the Core is a year-long cultural takeover of Ottawa’s downtown core, bringing exhibitions, events, and creative activations into public spaces across the city. Working with local artists, cultural partners, and the City of Ottawa, OAG is animating Ottawa 200 with bold, inclusive experiences that reflect who we are, and where we’re going.
The “+” honours the deep histories of this land that extend far beyond 200 years and affirms the ongoing leadership and creativity of Indigenous artists.
