Galerie Annexe’s Regional Artist Award 2022

Congratulations to Maria Moldovan for receiving Galerie Annexe’s Regional Artist Award, at this year’s New Art Festival!

“Maria is a full time visual artist living and working in Arnprior, Ontario. Her main artistic medium is ceramics and she mostly creates sculptural works but has small edition of functional ware series as well. She is also teaching ceramics at the Ottawa School of Art. . . Maria’s artwork is immersed with a dreamlike combination of real and imaginary elements. She often brings together body parts, landscape, animal figures, architectural details which in real life would never show up together.
