A message from Alexandra Badzak, OAG Director and CEO

July 2, 2020

Dear OAG Members, Friends and Supporters,

Welcome back!

After 18 weeks of temporarily closing the Ottawa Art Gallery due to COVID-19, we are thrilled to announce our reopening on July 8th! We have dedicated the last few weeks to ensuring that the necessary safety and cleaning measures are in place, and we are ready to welcome you back to the art. Our first day will be dedicated exclusively for our healthcare professionals and frontline workers who have continued to keep us healthy and safe during the last few months. As a further celebration of their work, please check out our Signs of Hope online community exhibition in partnership with The Ottawa Hospital.

Working with Ottawa Tourism on #MyOttawa Pass, please join us throughout the month of July to receive discounts at our Gallery Shop during your visit, as well further incentives to other local tourism destinations, restaurants and shops, as you rediscover and explore what out city has to offer.

As we welcome you back, things will be a little different. Please take a moment to check out our website for further details, and to take in the details provided below. As you come back through our doors at Daly Ave in the coming weeks, you’ll be greeted by an image of Diane Woodward’s work “What’s Black and White and Just a Little Cheesed Off?”—what better way to encourage you to enjoy the art, two eclectic and artful metres apart.

See you soon;

Alexandra Badzak
