CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
This sculpture of a Lucite hollow hemisphere suspended, equator up mounted on a stand between four slender cylindrical legs. The top hemisphere is consisting of a fitted movable construction of one circular and two semicircular planes fixed at right angles to one another, into the hollow of the bottom hemisphere. The semicircular planes serve to visualize the fault planes in the earth’s crust, which play such an important part in the understanding of earthquakes.
