Published in conjunction with a long overdue survey of prolific American/Canadian artist Peleg Franklin Brownell’s work, this exhibition catalogue explores Brownell’s influence as a painter, teacher, and headmaster at the Ottawa School of Art. Illustrated with black and white images and eight colour plates, this publication features essays by Jim Burant and Robert Stacey that elucidate on Brownell’s career and artistic practice.
